Sacred Spaces

Whether one is seeking to have a sacred space for meditation - or a bright and light space for aiding in productivity and motion the goal is the same the Right space that brings an idea into reality and one that stands the test of time.
Let's look at offices - How much time do you live at your office? Doesn't it make sense to have an office setting that is going to be uplifting - special to you and a place where more productivity may happen without leaving you bored and just counting the minutes until you can leave for your nice home space.
Each space sets a mood and tone and so it's important to look towards the psychology of color as well as content and even how the furniture is placed for how it impacts the psyche. It's all about bringing to life an ambience that just feels right and has that special flow and order within it.
For staging a home for sale it's about giving a feeling of comfortable - spaciousness with enough neutralness that it's easy for the client to see themselves living there.
When placing a setting for a hospice patient it's about softening the lights and bringing into place the sounds and sights that allow them to relax into the transition. Even a hospital room can be turned into a more gentle enviorment.
When decorating a home one designs a space geared to the nature of the client - it's about getting to know the personality - and where one is at now and where one wants to go to. What suits the clients nature versus just making a show room. The flow of the energy has to suit the nature of the space and the nature of the one living in the space.
When designing for a business then again one looks at the type of business and what it is they are wanting to project. How can one best bring about the vision of that company and best serve the needs of the ones they are working for or with. It's all about bringing into being the right mood - tone and ambience that sets the stage for the company to do it's job well.
It's hard to explain the process that goes into what is given here. All one can say is that there has to be an understanding of energy and ability to feel it and what psychological changes each aspect of the design will bring to a situation. It's more on the level of an intuitive resonance versus studying a book and course of designing interiors.
